Optimum Safe Dose Estimation for Carcinogenic Agents (A Case Study Using Simulated Data)
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper we introduce one procedure to estimate safe doses, named exposed or administered dose, for carcinogenic or toxical materials. The model, relying on statistical distribution takes into account a major assumption, which is explained below. *The probabilistic model underlying the waiting time of occurrence (such as tumor occurrence, etc.) is a renewal Weibull Process. The literature on the topic is full of various models, using different assumptions. Most of these models consider the administered dose as effective dose, the derived model is built on this basis, and the safe doses are estimated using extrapolations near low risk doses. Under this assumption we can reach a model different from the ones used before. Our derived model will be our working model in order to estimate the administered safe dose ξ. We intend to estimate x using the final model. At the end of the study, we have estimated optimum safe dose to apply the procedure by using simulated data on computer according to the underlying model and distribution.

Shielding simulations for safe use of curtain electron accelerator by MCNP4C
In an electron curtain accelerator, when the electron beam passes through the titanium exit window of the accelerator chamber, X-ray photons are produced as a negative by-product of retarding accelerated electrons. Controlling the produced X-ray photons to avoid their detrimental effects or in fact, proper shielding of the accelerator is an important issue that has to be considered in the use o...

Methods: [111In]In-DTPA-antiMUC1 was prepared at optimized conditions while the radiochemical purity of the tracer was investigated using ITLC method. Biodistribution of the radiolab...
متن کاملEvaluation of Evaporation Estimation Methods: a Case Study of Karaj Dam Lake
Evaporation is one of the largest water losses from most of the dam lakes in Iran. Estimating the evaporation rate enables us to apply the proper evaporation mitigation technologies. In this study, the feasibility of different evaporation estimation methods was studied to find an optimum method with a fair tradeoff between cost and accuracy. The optimum method may vary depending on the climate....
متن کاملTHE COMPARISON OF TWO METHOD NONPARAMETRIC APPROACH ON SMALL AREA ESTIMATION (CASE: APPROACH WITH KERNEL METHODS AND LOCAL POLYNOMIAL REGRESSION)
Small Area estimation is a technique used to estimate parameters of subpopulations with small sample sizes. Small area estimation is needed in obtaining information on a small area, such as sub-district or village. Generally, in some cases, small area estimation uses parametric modeling. But in fact, a lot of models have no linear relationship between the small area average and the covariat...
